After half a year of active use, the FAVORIT was moved during the night of 28.10.2021 to its permanent location:

Since May 2021, the FAVORIT marked the Sonnwendplatzl at the entrée to the 10th district between the main train station and Favoritenstraße and activated this deserted space via a performative sculpture that could be used by the public. In a multifaceted program conceived and supervised by stand129 (with Tilman Fromelt and his team), the FAVORIT was used for various events between the fields of music and literature.

Since the FAVORIT was conceived as temporary within the framework of SHIFT IV and was limited to the end of September, we aimed to find a permanent location for this sculpture in order to make it available for further cultural use. Due to an initiative of Christine Hahn, we succeeded in winning the Zukunftshof as a new location, at the other end of Favoriten.
In a technically and logistically spectacular action, the FAVORIT was brought to the Zukunftshof by a special transport in the early morning of 28.10.2021 and was reinstalled.
Concepts for further use will be developed in cooperation with Andreas Gugumuck and transparadiso. After the winter, new life will then move into the FAVORIT.
