The project Habiter les grandes ensembles is a key tool of analysis and taking action for the revaluation of the
image of working-class neighborhoods, the circulation of innovative processes for territorial policies and
inspiring initiatives in favor of neighborhoods and their inhabitants. It is part of a program of reflection led
by La Ville en Commun for the renewal of territorial policies and is associated with the PACT (Platform for Alternatives in City and Territory/ Paris) program for the promotion of innovative architectural and urban processes.

La Ville en Commun - Reinventing transformative territorial policies

The City in Common is a laboratory of ideas and research-actions that unites professionals, citizens, elected officials, researchers and practitioners of the territory. It is a space for sharing and reflection on local public policies, a place for the production of ideas, generator of alternative, solidarity or civic experiences. The City in Common is placed in the field of social transformation and political alternatives. Its field of action and investigation is oriented towards contemporary urban developments, more generally on the organization and development of territories.
